internet congested broadband?

what is congested broadband my internet providers tell me i have it i know it affects my internet pretty badly but what exactly is it ? my ping goes crazy and so does my speed but mainly my dam ping maxes trying to play xbox at points hell and is congested broadband something they can fix ?

Your ISP is full of sh.. . One thing it can mean is that your ISP suck and has only one tiny line to feed all households in your neighborhood ,and when all neighbors sit on internet at the same time all downloading movies your speed will suck . This is true if your internet is working fine at 5AM when everybody is sleeping and nobody is using internet .

Everyone is hopping into your free internet that makes the speed go lag and the ping goes into a heart attack. Here's what you should do:
1# create a password protection on it (WEP- low protection, WPA- mid protection, WPA2-PSK- high protection)

2# Go to the admin panel and do a MAC filter that allows only certain people to be able to access your internet.

3# if you give someone your password for the internet before either it is a friend or a neighbour then you need to change your password monthly.

its because ISP have a monopoly on the internet service. So they dont upgrade infrastructure, since that will cost them money.

ISP were PAYED by YOU through taxes to run fiber to every home in america in the 1996 telecommunications act.
You know what they did? nothing and pocketed the money. lol... im 100% serious.
and its due to their laws governing the internet and internet service... well just are terrible and dont stop isp from basically holding the internet hostage.

But your ISP thinks you should pay them money, to get the service you are already paying for. aswell they also want websites to pay to get traffic from the isp's customers!

the network is congested, because the isp is not upgrading to accommodate the bandwidth people use (as they sell you more bandwidth then they have). if everyone uses their bandwidth at the same time, you wont get the bandwidth you already pay for!
so its basically like your ISP gives you a 1 lane highway to the internet, in which is gridlocked, indefinitely. but they think you should pay them more money to upgrade the highway, aswell as websites pay them money. (when you ALREADY payed them for the job with the 96 telecommunications act lmao).

And whats better, is they are using the existing copper lines layed in the 1920s to provide internet. so really the only thing they payed for is the box to connect you to them, and them to a tier1 provider which connects everyone together. they record BILLIONS (like 20-40+ billion) a YEAR PROFIT! (not talking gross earnings, im talking profit). what do they do with the profit? buy other internet provider companies...
you wonder why you may only have 1 or 2 isp in your area to choose from? because they bought out all their competition... they pay to pass legislation to stop any new companies from starting!

there are small ISPs popping up offering gigabit or just very high speed internet, like 100mbps for like $20-40 a month.
The isps pay off legislation to make it illegal for these small isps to exist. saying that "they are stealing their customers". and whats more crazy, is in kentucky and i think somewhere else, the laws fking passed! lul WUT!
