Installing Broadband Internet?
So me and my wife moved in to another apt. The lady we are renting from lives just 10 yards away from us... She said we could have someone come out and install Internet but didn't really want them to have to re wire things or go through her house in other words.

In our apt I see a phone jack but see no wires coming from the outside of the apt on the opposite side where the phone jack is. We are getting Centurylink Pure Broadband since it's the only thing available in our very small town. So we were just curious about when they come to install it what all are they gonna have to do? Are they gonna have to wire it to a phone pole or what? Keep in mind we are just getting the broadband internet nothing else like a phone or anything...

We appreciate any help. And I apologize if my question doesn't make much sense as it is kinda hard to explain

They run a wire from the pole to the house/apt. They have to drill into the house to get the wire in. The wire is not that big a deal. Let your landlady know that it will be good for her in the future as it will make apt. more desirable.

If you are getting ADSL broadband you need a working phone line to get connected.

If the phone socket is not connected then it will have to made live and wired up to the pole outside.

Usually the company providing your broadband will perform this task with an engineer coming out.
