Effective fundraising ideas?

I have less than a year - March 5th 2015 - to raise £4550 to go on a Venture Force (like World Challenge) expedition to Botswana and Namibia. We will do treks, safaris and project work with a local orphanage/school for one month. I have a few idea's, but would like to hear what everyone else has!

I dont know any however I do know a marketing thing you can do. The first 12 people you get is $600 a month every month. that will get you up to 4550 by March 5th 2015 and the money will not stop coming it will only increase with the more people you get.
