I associate colors with people?

hi so I'm a 15 year old girl, and my dad does something called "tough mudder" which is just like a running kinda thing with obstacles. So my family goes to a lot of these all over in different states. He has met so many people online from it and in person that does these runs with and he becomes friends with them. So my dad runs through the course with all these people and my family and I watch him and take pictures of them. So for these people, I associate them with the color of shirt I first saw them wearing. Even though I've seen these people plenty of times wearing other colors later. And its not because I always look through the pictures that we took and see them wearing the colors, because I dont even have facebook or anything to see these pictures. Is this called something? Its usually only for some people, like people at school I dont associate with anything and I think its because i like always see them and stuff. But even my relatives that live far away and i hardly see, i dont associate them with colors. And its not like I'm trying to remember what these people wear because he usually runs with a huge group so they are easy to see. I just want to know whats this is called if it is anything or if anyone is similar in this way. Thanks xx

Well, I see letters with colours and that's called synesthesia. It might be relavent hope this helped
