Is graphic design a good idea?
Which job would I be more suited for based on my skills?
I live in Italy right now and am moving to Australia after I graduate (fine arts degree) next year.
We don't have majors at university here. In a fine arts degree here you study a bit of everything (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, graphic design, print making, etc) so as a result I am good in a lot of areas but not really "excellent" in just one.
I'm worried about this because it seems to me it's more preferible to be good in one field.
I would like to get into graphic design (maybe editorial design, print design,)and illustration but to be quite honest I'm confused all the job titles and the different fields. Woule becoming a graphic designer allow me to take advantage of my skill in the different areas I'm good in our is it smarter to go into just one specific field?
Oh! I don't know coding so web design isn't an option.

Look at the list of your skills..

fine arts degree with all these as sub categories (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, graphic design, print making, editorial design, print design etc ,

All these are great and make up your whole personality. You can achieve with all while you project your self with your most passionate and excellent one.

Art is a highly profitable venture especially if you know how to brand and market your self. This is what i am going to suggest you do...

Get a brand name that encompasses all your skills, set up your business website and all that you do and generate traffic to it with social media marketing, article marketing and the search engines. You can as well market your self at craiglist.

I bet you, you are good to go even now. Your skill right now is enough. It is not being a degree holder but a 'skill holder'

so, rather than think what to do, just do what you know and set up your self. This s what I teach people to do and also help them set up their concepts should they not know what and how to begin.
The name of the game is projecting yourself online by setting up an auto pilot system website that helps market you and bring potential clients to whatever you do or sell.
