Satellite Internet~ I'm thinking about changing from Comcast Internet to Satellite Internet......?
I currently have Comcast Internet but considerng changing to Satellite because my contract is up & now way more than I want to pay. Here is my main question... Can I still play games like LOL, Diablo, & WOW with Satellite Internet? I play LOL on daily basis & don't want that to be an issue!! I live in Georgia so snow wouldn't be a factor but what about rain, wind, or does weather affect Satellite Internet? Or are there any downsides to having Satellite & if so what are they? Would the games lag or be slow? Any comments would or insight would be appreciated. Thank You

Some satellite internet is pure crap. Wild blue, absolutely not. Hughes net is very expensive and crap as well. Comcast is the best where I live.

Dont get it. Its not as good as it sounds. Satellite Internet provides a connection speed 10 times faster than that of dial-up.

Satellite Internet also includes some drawbacks. The first disadvantage is that though it is faster than dial-up, it is still slower than cable Internet. It also is much more limited in how much traffic it can handle at one time. This results in dramatically slower Internet during high traffic hours. Internet can also be slowed by weather conditions such as fogs and clouds that may put a barrier between the orbiting satellite and your home system. Also, its more expensive than cable internet.
