pop-up from tumblr says "get tumblr PRO for free'- What is tumblr PRO?

There was a short video encouraging artists to basically go for it/ go tumblr PRO (presumably there are fee's and/ or a monthly charge) in spite of their 'free' offer. I haven't clicked 'activate tumblr PRO' yet because I'm the suspicious-type.

I googled it and all that came up were pro-choice websites. I searched tumblr FAQ/ help section and it didn't say a word about tumblr PRO.

What is tumblr PRO and is it really 'free'..?
OMG! I clicked 'activate' just to see and the tumblr page rumbled like an earthquake and little floating tophat fell on my profile pic. hahaha.

What have I done?

It's a prank from tumblr for April Fools' Day. You will get a top hat over your profile pic but I don't know what is going to happen next
