how to get followers on tumblr?

i just started a tumblr and i have no idea on how to get followers...any tips?

here's what you do:
-reblog/like a lot of people's posts (they might follow you after they see you in their notes)
-post a lot of original content and tag it with loads of (relevant) tags
-you can search up "follow for a follow" and follow people who'll follow back
-ask people for follow backs
-share your tumblr on other social media sites
-talk to people, whether its by replying, asking, or reblogging stuff and adding a comment (:

I suggest first establishing a style, find blogs you really like by looking through tags.
Talk to a lot of people with similar styles to you, and involve yourself in promos.
Go onto tumblrplug.com to promote your blog.
Go onto the #follow back or #follow for follow tags and follow people.
There are also some big blogs that do promos for you if you click their ads/like their fb page. (lucy.tumblr.com and ilovepokingsmot.tumblr.com are some)

But the best thing is just to reblog a lot, be kind to people, and enjoy it. Don't obsess over getting followers
