I put up an item on an irish auction site(not bids) its straight sales?

A lady inquired about it and offered me less than the asking price i said i would get back in a day or two in the meantime i was offered the full asking price so i accepted. I txtd the first person back and said i was offered the full price I heard nothing for a few days but she rang me and said she never got the txt but then said she would have given even more than the asking price why did she want it for a lot less but when i said it was sold she said she would have given me a lot more than i asked for If she wanted it wouldnt she have offered me a decent figure from the start .Am i right or wrong .Iwould like an opinion.
