Why is 1/2 of my home page covered in advertising that I don't want?

Do you have your very-own domain? Or, are you using a 'free' homepage on someone else's domain.
I'll bet that advertising is paying for your 'free' homepage, so the ONLY choice you exercised was to make a homepage on that stranger's domain. If your website just happens to be super-popular - that stranger gets lots of dough (through the advertising) for minimal effort. Groovy, huh? Ads |

If you are talking about the new Yahoo home page, you can post your comments on yahoo.uservoice.com (sponsored by Yahoo - free to visit). There is no way to eliminate the ads currently. Unless you use a browser that lets you block all ads (Chrome and Firefox).
Yahoo is using the ads to build revenue. |
