Where did I go wrong?!?

I am very social with my gender(girls). So I'm friends with every girl in my grade. I've made friends with the group people consider "nerds and geeks" but they're really actually nice and are very hospitable, I've made friends with the supposed 'weirdos' who are really very sweet and funny, I've made friends with the 'bad-girls' who've made a few wrong choices, but doesn't everyone? And I am very very nice and complimentive to the 'populars' and am now very great friends with them too. I consider them some of my best friends actually. They are nice enough to me in school and I always invite them places. But they never invite me anywhere? I always see Facebook posts where they're with their mortal enemy for their birthday! They always gossip about people then I turn around and see that those are the same people they always hang out with!! How does that work??!?? For my birthday, I'm not sure what to do! Instead of money I'm asking for cat and dog food for the animal shelter.
