MacBook Pro or MacBook Pro retina?

I need a macbook!! I'm getting a pro for sure, but I don't know which one. I really like the retina display, it's pretty and clear and pristine. but the other one has a disk drive. I'm mostly using it for school and social media. please help

if u can afford it, go retina. the regular macbooks are eventually being phased out

You can buy a portable CD/DVD/Blue-Ray USB drive to plug into a Mac's USB ports if you wish to read/write disks. The retina display is worth getting, incredibly crisp, clear display.
