Another atheist arrested in Egypt?
Alber Saber is an Egyptian pro-democracy blogger who ran a Facebook page fo Atheists.
When a neighbor discoered Saber's connection the page, word spread and on 13 September 2012,
an angty mob formed at Saber's house. The police arrived, and instead of dispersing the mob
and arresting those threatening to burn the house down, they arrested Saber and accused him
of the crime of "insulting Islam" !. They had also threatened his mother and his whole family
and he was beaten up by the police themselves.

Please sign this petition if you want Alber to be free

I'm an Ex Muslim atheist. Please, support Alber and sign the petition. You'd be surprised to know that there are atheists in the arab world, some of them are college professors, but they can't come out as atheists because if the police didn't take action against them, the society would.

This should make one consider the ramification of having a theocracy controlling a country. Why do you think our founding fathers separated the church and state in our constitution.

Those who do not appreciate the freedoms guaranteed by our constitution are more than welcome to go back to their home country or to a country with laws that reflect their perceptions. Do not come to this country and attempt to change our country to that which you fled from.
Think about it!

Yes, because Egypt just has so many atheists

(sarcasm)

Atheists wouldn't be arrested in Egypt, they'd have their heads chopped the fuck off for not conforming to religion's shackles.
