Can you get addicted to a video sex chat?

I have a friend who I think is addicted to a video sex chat site. Is it possible? How can I help him?

It's an addiction just like any other (gaming, watching tv, drugs, ...). It's a psychological thing and is difficult to get rid of.
You either need a lot of self discipline or help to get rid of it. But just like with any addiction, it has to come from yourself. You have to see that you have a problem AND you want to do something about it.
If your friend doesn't want to change his behaviour, there's not much you can do for him. Showing him what harm it can do may convince him, but you could also push your friend away. Some people just don't like it when others interfere with their lifestyle.

Yes, it's possible. As with any other addiction, you can't do anything to help until that person wants help. And there really isn't anything you can do to get the person to want help. Sad, but true.

It is possible, but he doesn't need your help. Being hooked on video sex chat is probably the best addiction you can have and it will change your world without damaging your mind, liver or work-life. Just try it once. You can't get addicted from just trying it once, you know.
