How can I sell my SWF files and get people to download the animations...how do I go about it, thanks?

I feel it is no easy to sell SWF files. There are thousands of very good SWF productions FREE on the web. Just have a look at my favorite:

I feel the real business behind SWF is WEB BUILDING an WEB DESIGN. You should associate with web designers and produce your SWF fiiles on demand, for certain design.
AnOther interesting option is ADVERTISING. Look for some agency producing commercial advertising and offer them your knowledge, maybe doing some pilot propaganda.
You can get people download your production just to make yourself some auto-publicity, through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.or a site like ffiles.com but again my warning: don't expect payment this way.
