Good quality places to pay for advertising?

I know all about PPC and social networks but they are mostly a waste of time and/or money for reasons I will not get into. I found that finding quality sites that get a lot of real visitors looking to promote their business are the best to advertise header links on. Some sites charge unrealistic prices for thousands of dollars though. Do you happen to know of such sites for a reasonable price? I have been paying for a header link on one site that sends me a lot of money per month but it has been limited to that amount so I would like to expand to other sites to hopefully increase my income. Thanks.

Google places page rank on webpages on a scale of 0-10. 10's being the Googles, facebooks of the world. If you are going to advertise on web pages, I would always recomend working with pages that have high page ranks. Let Google do the work for you of identifying the best sites for you.
