How do you get followers on Twitter?

I've just started using it - how do you get followers? Cause if no one knows I exist how will they even find me in the first place?

Well you can start by giving your friends your twitter account in school or facebook then go to #discover and find the word of the day . #todayisnationalhighfiveday hi guys #FF that means follow. when you follow someone they will follow you back make sure you write on your profile #teamfollowback so people will know that you will follow back too.

go on twitter and look for INFO FOLLOWER and you'll get more answers

Best thing to do is make your Twitter stream public and then Tweet about interesting things. Post links to interesting content on the web (photos, articles, videos) or whatever you think might be fun, informational, or great to know. Give other people in the Twittersphere a reason to follow you. If you have good content, you will have good followers! Go Google search Kevin Rose for a great example of providing useful content to your followers!

It doesnt happen overnight, usually accounts with thousands of followers belong to users that have websites that get tons of visitors, and people start following them from there, also because they are celebrities, but if you have a niche and tweet interesting stuff all the time people will start following you anyways
