Why would Indonesia criticise the Australia's handling of the search effort?
Per Twitter Indonesia's Coordinating Security Minister says Australia too quick to announce possible #MH370 objects and should have checked first.

— George Roberts (@George_Roberts) ABC’s Indonesia correspondent March 20, 2014"

Shouldn't they just butt out and mind their own FB.

They might be right. There is an awful lot of speculation and hysteria about this missing aircraft. What is needed are clear heads and facts.

The announcement was properly done, accurate information with the right amount of caution, giving information of the actions being taken to confirm or deny if it is the aircraft is appropriate.

all this kaffuffle " Oh we don't know which way ..when ..or how ! " ...makes one think that maybe ... just maybe ... some types of folks just don't want whatever " truths " exist about its disappearance to see the light of day ...

...the Indian Ocean is a big puddle ...suddenly a search zone is established 1000s of miles away from previous search areas ... and guess what ..." hey look at this ... 2 pieces ... 24 metres long ..."...

Wow ! ...

Did someone do something wrong ..?...did some government do something in error ?...

Are those ... and our ... peoples now involved in a cover up ?

( Who put those pieces way out there to be " suddenly " .... and " easily " found ? ...) ...

The possibilities are somewhat mindbogling ... any one mentioned UFOs & martians yet ? .... whoo hoo hoo ? ...

It is pretty common for Indonesian Govt officials to stick the boot in. They do it for domestic political purposes as much of the population thinks we are an arrogant people in much the same way as our political leaders like to talk tough on boat people.

Given the number of information cock ups that have occurred since the plane fell of the radar 11 or 12 days ago, the minister may have a point. So far we have "found" the crash site from an oil slick in the South China Sea, wreckage has turned out to be flotsam, the plane was hijacked by Iranian false passport holders/chinese terrorists/Alqaeda/the pilot/crew, had a fire/explosion, flew for several hours before crashing because the crew were unconscious. Everyone seems to be commenting/ventilating opinions. Why shouldn't the Indonesians?

We need to draw a line around Twitter and ignore anything in it. It is probably the worst source of information on the net. even worse than Yahoo! Answers, blogs and YouTube. All communication between nations needs to be by official letters which are composed with some care.

Because of the limited number of characters available you can just about guarantee that something posted will be taken the wrong way by someone, and it is too tempting to post something that you might not have done give a few more minutes to think about it,

In short, I don't care what is on Twitter and have looked at it four times since it started. .

I understand the Indonesians have only 1 press conference per day and the same time...no extras. They like control over everything (ie see what they are doing to the passengers families!!!) and they are almost certainly holding things back,

Compared to that Australia is giving out information when it comes to hand and is very open about that. I think that some Indonesians are threatened by that.

Indonesia is, for whatever reasons, jealous and spiteful.
They don't like having an example of an uncorrupted open democracy right next door.
