Why won't instagram work for my phone?

Everytime I go to open instagram, the screen turns white for about 10 seconds then it forecloses. It's been doing this since last night. I don't want to update it or reinstall it because I hate the new update. I have a samsung stratosphere if it matters. How can I fix this?

Try deleting the app then reinstalling it, if not then you might have to update it due to the fact that the old update is foreclosing the app, maybe that's why the update was released.
