You can describe the problem you had that put you in the position of needing help, how the stranger happened to be around or was made aware of your problem, how they helped you and the result of this help.
For instance, you might be a child riding your bike in the neighborhood who is suddenly attacked or chased by a big barking dog. A neighbor watering his yard with a hose might see you in distress, riding as fast as you can to get away from the dog. The neighbor sprays water at the dog and yells at it to stop, while you continue riding toward home. You arrive home, winded, scared, but safe.
Another example you see frequently on the Internet is a story about someone who has suffered a tragedy, a family member killed, they developed a devastating disease, or were robbed at a critical time--such as Christmas or before a wedding. Friends write about it on social media, strangers read the story and send money to help the person. In this case, many strangers join to help you and you use the funds to remedy the situation as much as money can. (It won't bring back a dead family member, but will pay for the funeral for instance.)
