how to advertise my process serving services?

I am trying to get myself more known in my city for my Process Serving Services, im a registered process server just starting out any ideas to get more business? any free ways? sofar i use craigslist., im also using MANTA.COM and i have magnets on the side of my truck displaying my services., but how can i bring in more business?

Attend every networking event, visit Chamber of Commerce, leave business cards at businesses, see if your bank does a "business of the week" , volunteer at non profits and wear a company shirt. Do cold calls.

Get a Google or Yelp business map listing. Both are free and location specific, which you are. Also check where attorneys, bail bonds, etc. in your area are advertising. You're using Craigslist but make sure you are listed in your city and if possible, surrounding areas - try to get into the services-attorney-bail bonds sections. You may also want to check any landlord or property owner sites.

In your area, look for apartment/condo/rental property owner associations. Quite a few now have their own websites with 'supplier' listings. Get on their list even if it means paying a couple dollars.
