Downloading torrents on a proxy internet.?

Downloading torrents on a proxy internet.?
I connect to my school wi-fi through a proxy port. All the apps work fine with the internet except bittorrent. The thing is I have filled the proxy info but no connection is getting to bittorrent. But wierdly, I get ads on the bittorent window. Any ideas t as why the torrents are not downloading?

They have the torrent ports blocked from their side.
