Keywords in Google Adwords PPC Advertising?
I am new to PPC marketing, but understand briefly the concept. I created a website, which is an ongoing side project as part of my studies, but am struggling to think of any keywords for a voucher code / deals / competition based website. I've been given a £75 Adwords voucher which I'd like to try out. What are the rules regarding using company names in PPC e.g. Urban Outfitters Voucher Code.

I'm including my website for reference, as opposed to promotion. http://www.theonlinecity.co.uk

Thanks.

As a rule your are not allowed to use brand names in your ad copy but you can use then in search keywords, so you have to be a bit clever with your wording "Get outfitted here" a couple of big brands with leverage have also gotten their manes disallowed from keyword use.

remember there is the Adwords ad network as well, which really calls for different strategies, rather than selecting keywords, you choose sites or individual pages to place your ads on, you can create a custom ad designed to appear only on a particular site. Being able to show an ad right on the page where your stuff is being discussed can be powerful.

Google doesn't like you using brand names in the Google ad itself. Although you can bid on those brand names.

The best training for Google Adwords, is Google itself. See the links in the source section.
