Meeting people through Facebook?

I like many other have become addicted to Facebook.

Im a senior in highschool and, sometimes I see girls on facebook that I dont know but i want to meet them.

I've done it once or twice but it wasnt very successful.

Any ideas for how to meet a person u hardly know through facebook or online dating????

Meeting people over this internet is NOT a good idea. And don't worry because you are going to be going to college soon and you'll meet plenty of women their to meet!!

I've met my current gf through online dating. We're together for over 2 years now! It was very easy. make a profile on Facebook, AA, myspace, etc. that advertises your best features. Don't post a picture of yourself without your shirt on. This is very common and only sends the message that you are desperate. Make a new AIM account (or msn or whatever) and "leave" it posted on your profile. If you have a good wholesome profile mixed in with humor, you will be surprised how many IM's you get from strangers. ALL girls. Go from there. Don't post anything needy/wussy.

I've actually had 3 successful relationships from over the internet, and the basic key if you ask me is to take some time to get to know them before you meet in real life. Meeting online is somewhat impersonal and so you should work your way up slowly. First just chat for a while, then work your way up to calling them on the phone, and then if the sparks are still flying you should meet them, and try to make it someplace really nice.
