Funding is pretty important.

Democrats always cry "who is going to pay for those tax cuts" when Republicans propose tax cuts.

So you cannot deny funding is important to both sides of the isle.

A pair of conservative-leaning veterans groups laid out their issues with Sanders’ bill on a conference call Tuesday morning, ahead of his press conference.

While the groups, Concerned Veterans for America and American Veterans, raised other issues with the legislation, they said their chief complaint was that the bill was paid for with OCO funds.

The groups instead said they were supporting a measure from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) that would offset the COLA cuts repeal by preventing illegal immigrants from claiming the additional child tax credit, a non-starter with Democrats.

So then as usual, Dems have no idea how to fund their misadventures.

Meanwhile, Obama is putting thousands of Active Duty military personnel on unemployment by shrinking the military...this AFTER the military took the brunt of funding cuts with Obama's sequester last year.

I think it's another example of how Republicans are trying to make Americans suffer. Soon they will make up excuses for how the failure of this bill is really all Obama and the Democrats' fault. Republicans don't care about struggling Americans today; they only care about keeping rich people's taxes low in the future.

lmao..

in other news , Democrats cut defense budget including benefits for current military.

If you had a freakin clue how politics works, you would understand that Democrats put provisions IN the bill that they KNEW the GOP would reject.

Why?

Because they know that their average moronic follow what claim exactly what you just did. It's call "Politics" there skippy. Learn about it

You can't fund a bill if you don't have the means to pay for it.

But then somehow Obamacare was passed and that ever changing piece of legislative arrogance has no means to pay for it either since Obama keeps changing implementation dates.

Apparently Republicans prefer to be able to cite a funding source, rather than Obamacare which may have private "donors" contributing to the coffers for "promoting" Obamacare and, which is blatantly wrong. Maybe that is why Obama's latest picks for Ambassadorships are rich, but clueless as to anything about they countries they hope to serve in.

Taken from the link attributed "Reports emerged earlier this month that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was soliciting private donations for Enroll America, a nonprofit, outside group led by former Obama White House and campaign officials that was created to locate and help uninsured Americans sign up for Obamacare.
Two House committees have begun investigating Sebelius' fundraising efforts, while five senior GOP legislators from both the House and the Senate have asked Gene Dodaro, the comptroller general of the United States, to investigate her actions to determine if they improperly circumvent spending limits imposed by Congress, according to The New York Times.

One of the House panels, the Energy and Commerce Committee, has also called on health insurance companies to provide records of any contact with administration officials looking for money or other help to carry out the healthcare reform law, reports the newspaper.

But, you do remind that the Ryan bipartisan budget which took funding for military veterans was happily signed by Obama and while part of it was repealed this still stands for future veterans "But under pressure from veterans groups, Congress quickly backtracked, and over the weekend President Obama signed a plan to repeal the retirement cuts for former and current military members.

Those who join the military after Jan. 1, 2014, however, will still face the cut, and some veterans organizations — as well as some lawmakers — say that’s still not fair to those who will retire in 2034 after putting their lives on the line to defend the country for 20 or more years."

Obama signed the Bill, it was what he wanted. It's on him.
