What to do with my internet service provider?
Over the past year i have been having many issues Comcast Internet. My ping on servers that i play on will be constantly goin up and down and it is impossible to maintain a decent conversation with someone through skype because of the time delay with the speach caused by the slow speed. The only way to temporarily 'fix' it is to reset my modem and router multiple times per day which is bad for the life of both of them. It is extremely frustrating trying to get to customer service and they cant do anything to help me once ive waited the hour for an actual person to get on the phone. Paying for somthing that doesnt work is pointless so i would like to know if other people have gone through similiar things and what they did to either fix this issue with comcast or the best way to switch to a new service provider. thankyou in advance for your help.

I have Comcast and sometimes need to reboot my router as well. I think they shift the bandwidth to other places when they really shouldn't be allowed to. If you're paying for 75 mbps I'd complain.

Are you using a wired or wireless connection?

One thing which would help would be a router with QOS settings - quality of service ... it prioritizes your traffic so that things like IP telephony don't experience problems. At the same time, you should talk to your ISP support group and go over the problems with them. If they can stabilize things for you, great, if not, get a new ISP. Also, remember that cable modem is shared bandwidth so when others in the neighborhood are using the net, your connection slows down. The other thing to do is to make certain you aren't using WiFi. Switch to Ethernet instead.
