I have used Microsoft small business in the past to make and host sites but now want to try wordpress . Who is best to host the site (I want uk hosting) and any advice on using wordpress would be great.

It doesn't matter where in the world your hosting servers are but, more importantly, how secure they are and their reliability. For instance, I'm in Australia but the servers I use are in the USA.

Well, my personal opinion is, it does matter where your servers are located. Google and other Search Engines give a significant importance on your server location (since they now show local search results).
