Is it my internet or my computer?

Is it my internet or my computer?
I frequently have issues with bad ping or bad download speed on my new computer. I can't watch a YouTube video in HD without the video freezing and buffering every three seconds. If I try to play LoL, my ping is over 300 for the entire 45 minutes, but I still get 60 frames per second. When I do the exact same things on my 6 year old macbook pro in the exact same spot, none of these things happen. This is all when nobody else is using my internet.

If I run a speedtest, it says ping is around 26, download speed of at least 3 mb/s and upload speed of around 7mb/s. My internet is a wireless connection.

The best way to tell is when you use none internet programs is it still slow? If so then you need to upgrade. If not contact your internet provider and see if you can upgrade that. Also if neither one of those work, it can be an virus. Hope this helps.

That problem is usually because your internet speed is
slowed down. With a lot of internet providers during the peak hours video will do that because the internet speed slows down due to so many people being on the internet at the same time. I am lucky, my internet slows way down too during the peak hours. But my speed is fast enough that I can still watch videos @ 1080p HD. My normal speed is 21 to 22 Mbps. During the peak hours it never slows down to no lower than 17.50 Mbps.
