Rakeing business?????!???!??!!!!?
My son who is 13 years old almost 14 in nov. Anyways he wants to start raking since its going to be fall in a few months. He has a few hundred dollars and wants a blower what do you recommend for lightweight and able to be used for hours the yards around are from half a acre to a acre but we live in the country so trees every where what should be charged it takes about 5-6 hours to do a full yard with hard work. What should he write on the cards? How much in to gas and oil? And can he leagally do it? Thx best answer gets 5 stars

Depending as to which country he's in it'll be legal or not. You can get advice on this through your local chamber of commerce.

As to what he should put on the cards - think of the results that the person receives. A clean yard, no fuss or mess or wandering around getting bored pushing leaves about. They have time indoors to enjoy the warmth of the kitchen or living room and have the benefit of a beautiful garden. Get him to write the wording himself, that way it'll connect his enthusiasm better.

That sort of thing - then give a rough price per garden (depending on the size of the yard, all fuel and transport/disposal costs factored in).

Remember that leaves fall all the way through autumn - so doing a good job will get repeat customers. You could have a set-up where he gets the yard cleared once a week, and paid in advance for a 15% discount. Less money, secure work.

Does this help?

You can check out blowers from Chinese manufacturers on Alibaba.com. Almost all blowers will be Chinese made these days. I would buy the best he can afford, he'll be putting a lot of hours in, and any breakdowns will be costly. You can also check out the star ratings online to see which ones are most reliable, or have local dealerships that can handle quick repairs.
