Internet explorer problems?

So before you ask, I'm on an iPod. But on my HP laptop I tried to download chrome but it didn't work, and then when I went back to IE it brought me to some page ((I can't get back to the page because I changed my home page so it wouldn't do anything bad)) and I can't go anywhere it always just says "waiting for google" or whatever I'm trying to use. Any help? I scanned my whole computer for malware and virus's and I didn't get any, so idk what it could be! Thanks for the help!

sometimes when i use IE it happens to me too i don't know why but i think you should restart your computer and try to downlode chrome , at first when i tried to downlode it didn't work but i tried again like 10 times then cheeked on the screen and i field couple of programs it gave to me and walla google chrome was there
