How does facebook know when someone has seen your chat?
Recently i have noticed it says whether the person you are messaging with has seen the text you sent or not. How does it know if the person has seen the chat?

They inform you when the other person clicks on your message in their inbox. Once they click it they have 'read it.'

Well, personally, I think that there's always some Facebook developer guy spying on you while you are logged onto Facebook, so I think that he controls when you get the Seen message. Lol. And friend's get the message once you click on the Chat box. Sorry if this isn't of much help...
