Should I trade my Nexus 7 for Kindle Fire HDX 7' new?
Well, the Kindle Fire HDX 7 is TWICE as fast than the Nexus 7. It has Adreno 330 and a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor of 2260 MHz, Krait 400. The thing is, I heard its OS is terrible.
If I return my new Nexus 7 (which I bought 2 days ago) and change it for the Kindle Fire HDX, I will get 30 dollars back (because the HDX is on sale). So should I trade it, aside from the Fire OS being "bad" and having less apps?

It depends on your preferences. The device obviously would be able to give you the same features like, you can check emails, play games, tv shows, facebook, twitter, netflix, skyping and all the stuff you can do on the Nexus 7. The only thing that differs is the OS and App selection. Then also you have ways around it. I.e you can get Many apps of Google Play store from other places, which is known as side-loading.

Here is a helpful discussion on Nexus 7 vs Kindle Fire HDX, take a look:

Kindle Fire HDX is basically the same device just with different service provider and having Amazon infused into it would give you one touch access to purchasing stuff. The other thing that is missing in Kindle Fire HDX is the rear facing camera. The advantages are like the Dual WiFi antenna, Digital Dolby audio speakers and the 2.2Ghz quad core processor provides with bit faster speed over Nexus 7.

Hope this helped!
