Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Apple iPhone 4S?
I already have a white 32gb iphone 4s and it is costing me about $65 a month. I was looking for some different options for phones that might cost less and i thought the samsung galaxy s3 looked pretty good in comparison, that isnt much of a change to the 4s. I use my iPhone mostly for text messaging (unlimited), playing some games when im bored, checking my facebook and mail, navigating when im lost, lisening to my music, sometimes going on the internet, and taking pictures/videos. I want to know the price difference per month if i were to get this phone. plan with verizon for unlimited text and only like 400 minutes or something, because i usually never use my phone, unless to call my parents. I always use my iphone to lisen to music from my itunes library and i was wondering if i could download my music from itunes to my phone, easily. I understand that the galaxy doesnt use the app store but uses something else called the play store or something. i head that its empty, and theres, like, no games on there. I also download apps like facebook, skype, the 9gag app, netflix, and the stumble upon app, just to look at things when im bored, but i dont know if i can get those in the play store. For the camera and video, i dont really care that much about the quality, but i dont want it to be all pixeled and fuzzy for sound. but i head it isnt that bad. and i was also wondering if i can get instagram on it because i usually take my photos through instagram before posting it to facebook.

- 10 points to anyone who gives me a clear, detailed answer. thanks! -

For cell plan prices, you should consult a Verizon employee as they change constantly and nobody else can give you a straight answer. You can't download the music from iTunes to your phone, you just can't. The Play Store has over 400,000 apps (App Store has 500,000) so it's definetly not even close to empty. It has every app you mentioned including Instagram. The camera is amazing and is better than the iPhone's. Every aspect of this phone is better than the iPhone (faster, better screen, more features, etc.).

Anyone who tries to tell you the 4S is better has a pro-Apple ax to grind. For example, there is all sorts of misinformation out there regarding the camera on the 4S being better, but every review I have seen that had the guts to actually POST the photos taken has made the S3 camera look better, with less washed-out images.

The S3 has a better screen, the S3 has 4G, the S3 is faster (the Apple defenders point to iOS being more efficient, but I sure haven't seen them prove it makes up for the slower hardware...and having used both the S3 sure feels faster), and the S3 supports memory cards so even if you get the 16GB version, you can expand it fairly cheaply. Oh, and the battery life is better. AND the battery is removable, so you could rotate them.

Siri might be better than S-Voice (for now), but how long will that last? And given that Siri itself is pretty clunky and un-useful, does it matter?

My take? S3 all the way. The 4S is a last-gen phone. There is a reason why people are already comparing the S3 to the iPhone 5, which hasn't even been unveiled yet.

So, here's my opinion: either buy the S3, or wait for the iPhone 5, which will likely/should be better, as several months is a lifetime in the tech world.

Both are upgrades to what you have now. How bad do you WANT to upgrade right now, is the question you must ask yourself.
