3mbps internet speed worth getting?

im gonna have to get the economy plus internet from comcast (3mbps) to save money. i like to play games online via my ps3, will this internet be too slow to play games online?

Plus READ all the terms and conditions - gaming will QUICKLY use up broadband allowances, most gamers choose FAST unlimited packages for a reason.

It's not painfully slow, but it is not fast at all either, and is well below your average ISP speeds.

I have Verizon FIOS with TV, phone, Internet...basic package...25 mbps down/5 mbps up.
If I were to pay $40 per month more (which is ridiculously expensive), I'd have 40 mbps down...not sure what the upload would be.

Comcast is never great for high bandwidth stuff.
