Is Time Warner throttling my internet connection?

Around 10:30 each night, I suddenly have no internet access. It comes back on after 45 minutes or so. My internet service provider is Time Warner. Could they be turning it off on purpose? Is that their way of throttling? Or perhaps a virus or malware is causing it? It only happens during those hours.

It could be related to heavy load on the network around the neighborhood. I have TWC and have issues around 8PM or so most nights.

You should try calling customer support the next time it happens and see what they can do for you.
