People who will not use computers: irritating?

Who else is bugged by the wasted time and energy due to people who don't use computers as they could?

Example #1: my boss. Rather than simply retrieve documents on our company's online document system (which takes just a few seconds), he constantly barges in my office to ask me to send documents to him. That breaks my concentration and takes him longer than to just get the documents himself.

Example #2: my boss, again. We had a business trip together. Rather than just forward the hotel information to me, he told it to me verbally. Guess what? He gave the wrong hotel information to me, and as a result, I was delayed to a critical meeting, and I wasted 2 hours.

Example #3: my mother. Like my boss, she has an iPhone, iPad, laptop, etc. But does she use them? Nope. She'll email me: "Is it going to snow today?" (Check Weather.com, which is all I can do to answer your question.) "I can't get my car door to lock right." (Rather than just Google the issue, she calls around until she finds a relative who can answer, wasting everyone's time.)

Your boss is your boss. If you don't want to put up with him, quit and find another job or start your own business. But he pays you to do whatever he wants, do it. If he is prone to making mistakes, double check whatever he gives you. Your reward is your paycheck.

Your mom changed your diaper, gave you a bath, fed you and generally raised you and could have been using the time she "wasted" on you for herself. She didn't. You could pay her back by giving her the small things she is asking for now.

My mom is 100 years old, is blind & barely can hear. How much time do you think she wastes of other people around her?

If someone is paying me to waste my time what do I care? Most bosses are only there to waste your time, it is in their secret job description. Why do you think they have all those meetings. Shame on you!!! It's your mother, if she asks for the weather will it kill you to tell her. She went thru 9 months of crap to bring you here, you could spend 5 minutes telling her the weather.

Doesnt bug me at all. We're the technically gifted generation. I have no problem breaking out email to send a note but if the guy is next door Ill just write it out on paper. If he's not there then yes an email is nice.
