Porn in browser history due to filesharing sites?

Is it possible that random porn sites and advertising stuff randomly show up in your browser history although you haven't visited them? I got Firefox and actually installed that ad blocker thingy. There are for example two porn video links in my history and if you look at the time they were "visited" it's exactly the same time, how's that possible?

Never happened to me, although once I wanted to paste something on one online forum and it turned out I posted a link to some porn site! Thanks gods I removed it before anyone noticed. Anyway, I had my adblock on and viewed no porn sites at all on that day, it appeared in my clipboard from absolutely nowhere. So I'm pretty sure that altering your history is just as possible.

Some porn ads have a "pop-under" ability. It opens a whole new window, and this may get included in the History. I'm just guessing because I don't examine my History unless I'm looking for a site I visited but can't recall the address.
