Okay, so i sold an item on ebay. but the buyer is telling me that the site will not let him pay for some reason, he thinks this is because my item was listed for only shipping to the u.s. and when he won the auction his shipping address was not located in the u.s. but he has messaged me and told me he changed that. i honestly don't think he's trying to pull one on me, he has great feedback.. but i guess my real question is, is there any way that i can change my option for shipping to international now that it's already marked as "sold"

ok do one thing that go for cancellation of that item transaction, and list that item only in buy it now and ask him to buy that item so problem will be solved.
Note : mutual understanding of buyer and seller you can cancel the item transaction. here you will get your final value fee back....

Raj has a good idea posted. If you block international buyers they shouldn't have been able to bid unless their ebay user id is registered in the US. If thats not the case which you can see on their feedback page right below:

If you're able to change to international not only will the postage to ship go way up but you get hit with a higher paypal fee % for converting their funds to US dollars.
I would probably contact buyer, do a mutual agreement not to buy so you get FVF credit & then relist as a BIN only if you want but after the case is closed only then do you want to suggest a higher s/h & factor in an additional 1% for paypal. Or, you can block the buyer, relist if you don't want international or a 2nd chance offer if others had placed a bid.

He should have asked first. I'm suprised it accepted his bid. Have you got a shipping price for his destination. If you find out the cost and manually update the invoice and then send it, it should let him pay. If he had asked during the auction you could have exempted his by his eBay ID. I'm not sure if you can do that after the auction has ended but you can try. Go to your listing and see if it will accept amendments.
