How to get people to read my story?
I want to try and get more people to read my story that is a fan-fic on Wattpad, but I'm not to sure how to. I would try and post it on Twitter and Tumblr but people don't normally pay attention to them sort of posts. Does anyone have any ideas?

Tell all your friends and family and tell them to pass the word along. It works for many of my friends. Smile

Using Wattpad is probably the best way to go with a fanfic. You could use Twitter, Tumblr and any other social media to tell people about it and ask them to read it ect. You could post it on tumblr but I think you'll do better on Wattpad (that's where me and my friends read fanfics on mostly)

I hope I helped! Smile

Make sure that you have a good cover, a good title, a good summary, etc. Post it on FanFiction.Net as well, because it'll come up at the top of the fandom's archive so lots more people will see it than they will on Wattpad.

well share it on Facebook with all your friends. You know I too face the same problem but one thing I have realized if you are consistent and write good not caring about how many reads or votes you will get so you just truly write whenever however and whatever you feel that in the end is what matters.

well send me a link of your profile I will check your work out Big Grin

here is mine

If it's a fan-fiction then I would advise you post on Fanfiction.net as most people go on Wattpad to read original stories. Most fanfics will get ignored.

If that's not an option though, than make sure you have a good cover, a good story title so nothing like "Harry potter and the" or "I fell in love with a vampire" as people avoid titles like those like the plague!

Also make sure you have a good, to the point summery and those are the sorts of things that will attract readers! Avoid spelling mistakes and overuse of punctuation too.
