What is wrong with Bikini pictures on Facebook ?

I mean if you're on the beach in a normal holiday position is it wrong to show swimsuit pictures for guys or girls ? As long as you're not like with alcohol or in front of a mirror...They always say, you wouldn't want employers to see that...but I wouldn't want employers to stalk me on Facebook before hiring me and I wouldn't want to work for a creepy employer like this in the first place don't you agree ? Second of all there are privacy settings, Microsoft / Zuckerberg etc can access everything but small companies ? They are just regular people, if you set your privacy settings well they won't be able to find them. They always say ''do not upload childhood pictures, those are cute with family, not for your employer'', ''do not upload pictures drinking'' ''do not express politics religious views'' etc....Are we in North Korea ???

Anyway why not share holiday pictures with friends where you happen to be wearing a swimsuit because...well you're on the beach. Big deal ? Is it OK ?

There is nothing wrong with swimsuit photos. What makes you think there is something wrong with that?

I wouldn't put a bunch of drinking photos on there, its fine to hold a beer for example with some friends but I dont think you want a beer bong photo.

Employers want to make sure their employees are professional and being professional means not posting inappropriate pictures to Facebook. Many companies also don't want their names listed on any social media unless they are in control of what is being said. So, because of this, there is a new trend with both employers and schools that they are asking for social media login information so they can check accounts uncensored. Creepy? Yes. But, these are the times and people do stupid things. Employers want respectable, professional employees, not hard partying employees.

Another issue with the bikini pics is this: who can see these pics? If these pictures aren't set to private, anyone can see them, copy them, and post them on a porn site. If you post something on the internet, it's out there for anyone to use as they see fit. This has happened to people, including teens.

So, while there really is nothing wrong, per se, you really shouldn't post these pictures online. Instead of posting them to Facebook, why don't you make an offline photo album in your docs file? If you want to share these pics with your friends, you can copy them to photo CDs and give them out as gifts.

No, we're not in "North Korea", but we are in a time where there is so much unemployment that this is one way for employers to weed out who they think are "weak links". Companies can get rid of you simply because they don't like your posts or pics. They will find someone who doesn't post personal pics to replace you. If you don't want to give up your information, then you can be seen as sneaky and untrustworthy. No employer wants that.
