amazon affiliate traffic?
Do people really make money on amazon associates with the affiliate program? Just feeling a little discouraged because I've put so much time into my website and trying to promote it.

What is an actual way to drive traffic? Ive tried social sites, yahoo answers, forums leaving my web address in my signature image, youtube, twitter (lots of followers), even craigslist, I've added meta tags, submitted my page to google and yahoo and bing.

What works??? I feel like I've spent endless hours trying to drive traffic to my site.

And no I'm not going to spend money on ad words, thank you.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Heres one of my websites I've been working on.
yourphoneaccessories.com

Thanks!

You need content on the page. You don't have any. To speak of. I looked in 4 browsers and this is exactly what I see:

YOURPHONEACCESSORIES.COM

The place to visit for phone and tablet accessories!

SearchMain menu
iphone 4 & 4s case
iphone 4 & 4s accessories
ipad 1st generation case & accessories
kindle accessories
iphone 5 case
cell phones
kindle accessories

Then, I looked in a text browser. And I see a bunch of iframe junk. Iframes get blocked by most browsers. But let me show you what a search engine sees:

IFRAME:
http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=interestin0...asins=B007
S1VR56&ref=tf_til&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0400E7&bc1=
FFFFFF&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr

Again. No content. What is getting spidered, if at all, is the amazon links. NOT your site. Have you done a google search on phone accessories? Highly competitive term. It will take a good seo a year to get it on the first page in google. You? You'll never do it.

I left a nice link. Traffic is a tricky process and what works one day may not work the next. I use social bookmarking sites as well as using yahoo answers and auction sites to drive traffic.

someone said there's no content on your site - probably true. my computer almost froze when I went to your url so I quickly decided to get out.

why should someone spend ANY time on your site if you have no information to offer?

there is a different between a blog, and blogspam... think about that.

You said that you don't want to spend any money on ad words.
But did that mean not spend a PENNY at all?
Anyways I know how you are feeling as I use to have this issue to. What you could also do for amazon traffic is to setup a wordpress site with videos on a specific niche that is available for buying on amazon & then contact people on youtube that have that niche for videos but with no website at all, you can tell them that you will help them get their channel + videos more traffic and viral but all they need to do is just put your website link in their description for all their videos related to that niche. Now here with amazon affiliate get a targeted product that is basically that niche like I said earlier and have it display on the side bar of the site, but make the wordpress site look some what sexy for all the videos..

I got this from a program I got on click bank, it was really worth it for me and I really hope soon you get good with amazon affiliate earning because it can be big bank $$
