I have owned my cleaning business since 2011 and I need help getting customers!?
My business comes in Spurts. Usually i am super busy come holidays but for some reason this past year has sucked. I haven't been getting any new customers and I have kept the same prices in fact i started lowering my prices a bit just to get more customers out of desperation. I advertise on google, yelp, angies list and so on. i have my logo on my car and I have flyers that we pass out and I have business cards. I purchase backlinks and profiles, I have 3 websites, facebook, twitter, linkedin, pinterest, google+, i dont know how else to get calls. When i do get calls I give them the quote and most if the time they dont schedule but i dont get it, I lower my prices. I am bonded and insured and provide my own equipment! I ask my customers to give me reviews and to refer me and if they do I give them a discount! Help me how do i reel in customers??
Here are my websites if you want to check them out

Unfortunately, the first problem is the Dirty Deeds Maids. Get rid of Dirty Deeds and Maids. You need a name that sounds more professional, a name that other people and companies feel comfortable with telling other people and companies. Make it sound more prestigious. You ARE NOT A MAID. Maids are thought of as nasty and poor and they are only being a maid because they don't have the skills or education to do anything else. You have to market to the way people think and not necessarily to the way things really are.
I can also provide you detailed information about spreading into other industries that could easily be more lucrative.

Email me at joedwilk@hotmail.com if you would like more info. That you and good luck.

Do you attend a church? That is a good place to post your flyer where it will get a lot of attention.

One answer: simply overdeliver every single time. Do something special for your customers every week. Make them feel you care. Giving discount for referrals is not the way to go. Make them WOW and they will refer x10.

have you tried a more strategic approach to social media? try sharing articles that are related to you business, but not actually directed to your website, on LinkedIn & Twitter. choose stuff that aims to help your customers while subtly advertising what you do. Eg. an article on how hiring a cleaning company boosts productivity for people who work at home, or an article on the benefits of "green" cleaning products

Then use social media to "Like" and "Comment" on potential clients' posts - but remember - don't go for the hard sell! Just use this to make contact with potential customers and let them know you exist.

You may also find this guide useful on using LinkedIn as a sales tool (I just checked out your LinkedIn profile and my first impression - you need a professional looking photo that shows you!)

Hope this helps!
