You could start the long slow process of getting search engine ranking.

Here's a Search Engine Optimization primer by an SEO authority, too much of the stuff taught by others is out of date or simply inaccurate.
http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo

Some webmasters spend more time off site promoting in forums, etc than they do working on their site.

there are many reasons possible, from it being a new site to a niche no one cares about, to a lack of quality content and other items.

share some more info and the URL then perhaps some of us can take a look and make suggestions

There are two things you need to check, your website's on page compliance and its web visibility (off page).
On page - Check if you are using a reliable platform for your blog, if it is loading correctly, if it is properly structured, if it is SEO compliant, and if you have any duplicate content. Then check that your pages are indexed in the search engines. Monitor using free tools for Analytics provided by search engines. Above all, make sure that you are creating the right content that is quality enough to make it relevant to what online searchers are looking for.

Off page - Check that you have enough links that are of high quality, non spammy, and coming from trusted sources. Make sure that you have good presence on social media platforms. Also, try to interact and connect to a lot of people online using your website.

Hello,

First of all I want to say that you should mention your blog name here we can know about your blog, what is your blog all about and according to that we give you the best suggestion that what is the exact problem with your problem, But here you have not mentioned then its OK.

You have to think that why people should visit your blog, what is the special theme you insert into your blog that people gets attracted towards your blog and then you find the answer of this question I think you are able to do better things to your blog which helps to visit traffic to your blog.

Second in blog the content is the bridge which fill the gap between the reader and the author. Content is the only way of attracting and talking to the people who visit your blog if your content is not interesting and genuine too then I think there is no benefit of any valuable things.

And of course if your content is interesting then you can promote it to social media platforms through which people gets more connected to you and your blog and then a huge amount of traffic you will get.

I think you will get my point, All the best for you and your blog.

Thank you...

Lots of good suggestions re: making it more 'visible', but DON'T 'mention your blog here' .. it will be seen as 'advertising' and be 'reported' and removed ... and you will be in danger of having your Y! account blocked ..

In addition to optimising for search engines, you need to get your blog read by 'fans' .. this will mean using 'social networking' and (relevant) forums to promote your blog by giving links to specific pages 'in context' during discussions etc. to those who would be interested ESPECIALLY other bloggers who might add 'pointers' to your content on THEIR blogs/ web sites ...

WARNING - lots of forums take a dim view of 'adversing' or 'spamming' ... so be very careful not to 'overdo' it :-)
