Where is a good place to advertise?

My friend and I have started a film group, and are currently looking for actors.

Does anyone know any good places to advertise for this? any sites, or papers??

I would start in your local area first. Local newspapers

Not sure how much it will benefit you, but you can start with advertising on free classified sites like:

http://www.khrido.com/
http://craigslist.org/

Newspaper pamphlets and posters on bus stops etc. may also be a good way of advertisement.

You can post on free classifieds like http://www.craigslist.com There are many ads like this I have seen before on these sites.

It really depends on the people you are wishing to target. If you have a specific type of person/people you wish to look for, then advertise in places where they would most likely look eg What section of the newspaper they read, which magazine do they read, what radio station do they listen to?

If its just a mass advertisement then the cheaper way would be to advertise in free classified papers and websites. Also, don't forget social networking sites like facebook.
