How do I get rid of the do searches page. I want to open up to google.com instead.

Do searches and other similar programs are installed on your browser by software you install without you knowing or without you unticking the option when installing software. specially from sites like downloads.om or cnet.. any way. just enter the search term do searches on google. be warned sites will come up that ask you to install more software to remove it. Don't. you can uninstall it manually

Go into control panel > Internet option when it comes up see what you have in the home page section if it does not have google click default this may bring google up if not you can put google addie in and then apply. then go to see if you have the search engine in control panel add and remove you can then remove it also while there delete all cookies and tempt internet as the search engine may be attached to a cookie

Got to: Settings....Internet options...Tabs....then restore to default (of select your preference). That's what I did and it solved it immediately.
