How likely is it that Ebay will favour my case?
Recently I bought a smartphone, I paid 380 and the seller scammed me, he did not deliver the item. Therefore, I put up a case on ebay for full refund but I doubt it the seller will respond. Do you think Ebay will favour my case and give me my refund?

If you selected the item wasn't delivered and the seller doesn't respond in a certain amount of days (I think 7 or 14) you should get a full refund Smile

As long as you used Paypal for payment, they offer you Buyer Protection. Did you give seller enough time to ship the item esp if it came from another country? Ebay always sides with the buyer. Ebay will refund you and try to get it back from seller.

Ebay wil contact the seller asking for proof of delivery to your address. If they cannot provide it, you will be refunded as long as you paid with Paypal

There is good news and bad news.

The good news is that if the seller can not provide documented proof of delivery, and signature confirmation since the item is over 250 dollars, then you will get a refund.

The bad news is that if he doesn't agree to do the refund, you have to escalate the case to eBay and if he says he sent it they usually will wait sometimes over two weeks with the money on hold before they give it back to you.

So yes, you will get a refund, but it kind of sucks if you really need the money to buy from someone else.
