My 11 yr old wants a public twitter?

So my 11 yr old and I talked about twitter and she's getting it - lots of her friends are on twitter and some of her friends twitters are public she really wants it public but I'm worried. Should it be public or private. And if it's private should she ask me before she lets someone follow her or her follow someone else like she has to ask and I have to approve before she follows someone plz tell me if it should be public or private

just go over some of the internet safety rules with her so she knows posting nudes or something is not okay. Review also the cyberbullying rules/laws.

Actually, I agree with you. Make the Twitter private and make sure she checks with you if she can do something. I have a little sister and I made her put her Instagram to private. also, everytime, I check to make sure she can follow only the people she knows and let the people she knows to follow her.

twitter rules do not allow users under 12 , yes lots of people break that rule but it is a good rule to follow

I think anyone under 17 who doesn't take the time to fully read the entire privacy policy understand it should only have private pages on twitter or facebook , they don't think beforehand and post too much information online that anyone can see , such as we are going out of town this weekend and now a burglar knows you are away and he can break into your home , or they post photos other private information
