youtube help!!!!!!!?

I made a youtube channel and posted a video and I really want people to notice me so would it be bad if I just put a comment on a "famous" youtube video and tell people to check out my channel? I really want someone to answer this that has done this before because I want to know it works or not! okay thanks and please answer!

I wouldn't do that because alot of famous youtuber such as pewdiepie, smosh and more would probably not like it when you self promote yourself.

I would recommend you don't comment on famous peoples channels, it's disrespectful and other users could get mad at you. Adding more tags can get yourself more views and you can also share it with your friends and get them to share it around too.

Otherwise, you can also use social media sites for promoting your YouTube Channel. Just create a fan page on social sites such as Facebook and Google+ and share your new YouTube Videos link on it along with some quality information about it. You can also invite your friends and other members for joining your fan page. Engage with them. Tell them more about your channel and also get their feedback for improving your YouTube channel. This will definitely help you to make your YouTube Channel popular.

Most people are just annoyed by it, so I really doubt it would help you to get subscribers or video views. If someone watches a video they're not normally interested in other channels at the time.

A better idea would be to put tags on your channel, advertise it on your Facebook and Twitter and maybe tell people about it. Above all, though, the popularity of your channel depends on how good the content you're creating is. If you're making entertaining videos that people enjoy watching, then be patient and over time you'll get the exposure you deserve.
