What's wrong with my cable modem?

There was recently a power outage which caused my house to lose power for almost 2 days. We just recently got the power back on and I noticed that the only light that was on, on my modem is the internet light and it's blinking. It's been like this for more than 5 hours.

Call your ISP support line.

Call them, the ISP, - don't mention the power outage. There is probably something still out on their end if the power outage was significant.

You can reboot the modem, unplug and reconnect all connections, send a refresh signal, etc. Leave it off for 5 min, and eliminate everything except for the modem.

Also, what is your neighbors situation. If they are out, then this makes sense.

And...all services do not always come back on at the same time. TV may pop up first, then phone, then internet - or in any of the other 5 ways this could happen.

But DONT mention the outage or they will just assume that the outage was the cause!
