If Paul Bissonnette played under the bright lights of NYC would Avery be an afterthought?

Nah he still wouldn't be as bad as Avery because one of the things Avery does that bothers people more than anything else is the way he challenges people and then runs when they accept. Good way to draw penalties, bad way to make fans. Bissonnette on the other hand will jump at the chance to drop the gloves with anyone.

It's an interesting comparison...Bissonnette (on his beyond-funny twitter account) echoed Avery's stance on the issue of marriage (yet took none of the grief).
However, Bissonnette knows his role, and doesn't come with the gong show stench all over him like Avery. Bissonnette also doesn't go after star players like Avery has in the past and doesn't take potshots at his fellow players (however, he has plenty of advice for young lads looking to find a nice lady and offers tips on wooing said young ladies). |
